For a long time I wanted a place where I could write my thoughts, post small updates, and keep track of things happening in my life.
Now I finally have it.
My own blogging app called Journal.
The interesting part is that the entire app was built by my friend
Nikola Filipovski from NFW Design Check out his portfolio here
And honestly, he deserves this first post.
When we first talked about the project, I realized something pretty quickly:
I had no real idea what I wanted.
No design ideas.
No layout ideas.
No feature ideas.
Basically I just said:
"I want something where I can write posts"
Nikola ended up designing everything himself, from the interface to the features, and somehow turned my vague idea into something much better than I imagined.
He built a really beautiful blogging app with a full admin panel where I can easily write and manage posts.
But the coolest feature is the mood tracking system.
Every day I can:
- select what my mood is
- write a short note about the day
- store it in my calendar
On the homepage, the site shows the most common mood for the current month, which is a really nice touch.
Inside my admin panel I can also:
- view moods month by month
- check a calendar view
- click any specific day
- see the note and mood I left for that day
It’s honestly a great way to track how I'm feeling over time.
Great idea, king. 👑
Nikola didn’t just build the app.
He also:
- hosted the app for free
- created a bucket for uploads
- allowed me to upload images, videos, and audio files
Also completely free.
When he showed me the final result, I was honestly blown away.
That’s when I told him:
"My first post on this journal has to be about you."
So here we are.
Out of curiosity I asked him what something like this would normally cost if I were a regular client.
He laughed and told me the price.
And honestly?
It's very affordable for a fully custom blogging app like this.
Of course the price would be a bit higher if you wanted:
- proper web hosting
- your own domain
But even then it’s still very reasonable for something like this.
If you're interested in having your own blogging or journal app, you should definitely Contact NFW Design - Nikola Filipovski
He clearly knows what he’s doing.
And if this app is anything to judge by, you’ll probably end up with something even better than what you imagined.
Today Nikola Filipovski (NFWDesign) Published newer version of my Journal Website.
New version includes possibility to share my blog posts easier with your friends and family on Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, X (Twitter) and Whatsapp or just easily to copy link just by clicking on copy link button.
This shows how many kilometers (Miles) have the data travel to reach you. Idea was from other friend of mine. I explained this idea to Nikola Filipovski and he said it's doable and fun idea but we won't be able to get exact data journey but anyways I sad make it as estimated Journey ( Fun Fact ) and there it is, you can find it at rhe very bottom of the page only on blog posts pages, for example you can see it In This Post
And for the end i got a little bit more possiblity in my post editor to write image captions and to mark pictures as priority if i need them to be preloaded, it's good for page speed loading told me Nikola and i believe him. Also i got some nice loading banners while page is loading.
